E5 Comp Lab

Haha, what's so nice about comp labs right? Haha, they are just labs with comps. DOTS. Hahahaha. But this comp lab is one that I got to know about it only in year 3 sem 1 when my Lab 2 group mates had a meeting there towards the end of the sem for our final lab presentation. I always knew there's this comp lab there in level 3 of E5 (Chen Eng block) but I never thought I would access there. And I also didn't expect so many people to frequent there. Of coz, I would never expect myself to frequent there now. These days I visit this lab and the comp centre Thinklab almost everyday just to pass time and try to do some productive work. The lure of this E5 lab is that it's near our tutorial rooms and is after all our department lab. Moreover, there's Hysys there. The horrendous yet useful Chemical Process Simulation Software. E2 also have lar but a bit too far to go. The disadvantages of this lab is that you can't wait webcasts there, can't print notes and there isn't accessible plugs to charge your handphone or laptop or mp3 player. Haha.

Today, Shuping brought her laptop to do her Membrane project and decided to take pics on her new comp camera back facing the comps at the E5 comp lab. Hehe.

Haha, everyday go school so early with my dad, I simply just can't make my hair listen to me man. It's just so PONG and messy. But who cares man. I go school for the sake of lessons and FYP and projects now. Not to go beauty pageant. So it doesn't matter. Haha. Moreover, FYP still have to wear pants n covered shoes. So why bother putting so much efforts on normal days to go around the rules to dress up and look good? Lol. Maybe I just can't be bother. Hehe anyway, SP's long and flowy hair is an envy man. Haha. But I don't think I suit such long hair, though I'm really looking forward to grow my hair longer!

Can't wait for this sem to end. I just hope to do well enough for my modules and get some decent results for my FYP. Looking forward to 1st Jan 2008 (day after deadline for FYP report). It would be my next happiest day after a whole load of happy days. Heh.

Oh my TIAN! I can't believe I'm blogging about my lunch gathering with my Singpost temp frens after eons now. Haha. I believe this gathering was on the saturday of the first week of school. We actually managed to get full attendance (tho it's only the 5 of us. LOL) We met at PS and had a great lunch at Ajitei.

A pic of the 5 of us! Anticlockwise from left - Liting (NTU Material Eng), Jane (NUS Arts), Adin (NUS Bizad), Po Wey (NUS, Medicine) and yours truly (NUS Chem Eng). So nice to meet such nice fellow undergrads at a 1 week stint during the hols. Haha.

Last but not least, Jane with another mango dessert. But hers has got the red beans! Haha.

We had a great chat that day and though it was short, it was really enjoyable. Glad that everyone made the effort to turn up. Dr Po Wey actually brought her medicine textbook to go Millenia Walk to mug after that. Apparently, medicine students have lots of memorizing of textbooks to do. Hehe. All the best to her! Hopefully next time we can really get discount for her medical services. LOL.

Oh and Boss Adin ordered an additional cup of cappuccino and the cup has a super unique handle. I actually took 2 shots from 2 different angles. Unfortunately 1 was blur. But you guys can still the see the shape.

Alright, here's another pic of Adin with his cup of cappuccino. Haha, sorry I dunno if I should put it upright or horizontal coz my attempt to take it from a unique angle failed terribly.

That's all! Hope to meet up with these guys again end of the sem. :) I still have some short yet nice memories of Singpost days whenever I go or pass by Paya Lebar MRT. Heh. Maybe someday I might see SPH or Lian He Zao Bao there. Hee.

Lunch @ Ricetable

A couple of saturdays back, on the 4th of August (coincidentally was the day Yuan passed her driving test 3years ago ;P), a few of us met up for lunch before Yuan leaves for Exchange to Finland (can just consider it as Europe since she's most probably gonna travel extensively). We had Indonesian Buffet Lunch at Ricetable at International Building. The food was pretty good. And we had quite a nice time chatting and laughing also. :)

Jingjing's Convocation

My dear Nai Jie, Jingjing graduated already! Haha. She invited us to her convocation. Tho not the ceremony lar. Just to take pics w her in the graudation robe. Wow, so nice for some of us to travel half the island to take pics w her at NTU right? Hahah. I met Hongmay at clementi and shared cab there. Met Zhuzhu there and took some pics with Jingjing while waiting for Shitley to reach. The pics taken with Hongmay inside were using her cam. Unfortunately, it's not easy to catch Hongmay online so I couldnt get the pics from her. Haha. But after Shitley came, we started taking pics on my camera. So could post it here.

Omg, I got so many backdated posts! Haha, most people think this blog is extinct already. No it's just dormant. Haha. I did some temp-ing at Singpost after slacking a week or 2 after IA. N I met some nice people there. Hehe. There were 5 of us. But 2 left earlier on our supposedly last day (the same 2 extended their stay there). So I only managed to snapped some shots of the other 2. The 3 of us enjoy slacking at Barang Barang. Hahaha.

Iceskating with Yuan & Frens

After IA, life was quite relaxing. Haha, but I did managed to meet up with TKB & Yuan. Met TKB b4 he left for China to tour with HZ. Then met Yuan a couple of days for some conference job for her WAT agency. Got one of the days we went to watch Nancy Drew n another day we went iceskating. haha. Baobao really wanna go iceskating, but I was quite half-hearted, coz I dunno how to. It was quite fun, went w her n her smu frens. One of them drove us all the way to JEC.

After that, her frens got to go so we hanged ard n eventually went for dinner n movie - Transformers

I rmb going JEC once in JC with Baobao n someone else. That was like the 1st time I went. Haha hardly go west shopping centres, maybe other den JP n IMM. I enjoyed hearing more abt her experiences when she was young. It's nice to have frens staying in different parts of the country, n hearing their childhood experiences at the places they hang out. Too bad, I never had the chance to show others abt the place I spent the bulk of my younger days. Haha. Doubt ppl wld be interested also. Lol.

sorry for this long overdue post, many to come by anyway. Haha, shall not post too many pics coz im too lazy. Haha. It was the end of IA for the ntu peeps followed by nus peeps 3 weeks later. this 6mths at H had been at times enriching at times frustrating. of coz not forgetting many many memorable times with the big grp n the smaller grps amongst us. i've made some nice frens along the way as well. so at least all had ended quite well at the v end.

Haha juz yest, my 2 crappy fellow IA teammates (under the same sup) went to Vivocity for lunch! We planned to give a treat to our sup at Vivo wan...but he went on mc due to bad food taken the day b4...so off we went for our Vivo lunch on our own...

we went to eat Super Dog! Laolao suggested wan...(of coz we din think of treating our sup to that! but since no more treat we shall hv sth else..heh)
whenever we sit Dr E's car sure v high wan..haha..there'll be some loud music n our great laughters...haha..n Laolao will be cautiously telling Dr E where to go n urging him to drive fast...hehe...while Cuecue & me juz sit behind n relax, look out enjoy the scenery...haha...sometimes drifting away while they hv their "interesting conversations..." *teeeheeee*

Lunch at Jeewa

haha...hmmm ok the following few posts will be abt my IA lunches...haha...coz working hrs so long...we nd some happie lunches to make our day! haha...

LaoLao suggested go Ali Cafe (opp Joo Chiat Complex) to eat...den we got some gd response from Xinyi, Felix n Yulin...haha...but then we went all the way there (by bus), it was closed...*sobs*

we were all quite sian diao...den LaoLao did say Plan B was to go Haig Rd Market...haha..but i (ok i admit), i suggested Joo Chiat (out of fun)...den Xinyi say dun mind...the rest also no objection..den we walk on n we walk on...n we walk even more on...haha...but really too far...n v hot alr...(aftn sun was terrible) so we walk back...LoL

Felix was alr sooooo hot (dark colored long sleeve shirt was alr soaking w perspiration)...so he juz suggested we go to that aircon malay looking cafe opp the Ali Cafe...haha..imagine we all so hot...we juz agreed...n it was a disaster...

the aircon was gd...but the service was terrible...it claimed to be a thai-chinese restaurant...(correct me if i din rmb correctly)...but the entire place is served by malays n patronised by mainly malays...not that im racist...but somehow we felt they seemed to serve the malays their food faster den for us...we alr had some difficulty ordering...coz the waiter cldnt tell us the diff betw certain menu items...for instance...there were different types of hor fun...but when we asked him wads the diff...he juz replied..."all the same la...juz name different..." argh...den why bother to put it as different orders in the 1st place??? so out of curiosity, Xinyi, Yulin n me ordered 3 different hor funs, hoping to spot any difference when they come...

we waited so long for the orders lor...LaoLao ordered his trusted Fish & Chips while Felix ordered TomYam...which neither looked gd nor tasted gd...juz made him even hotter i think...haha... (amusing to see him kept wiping his perspiration off his forehead n say v hot, haha)

hmmmm the food aint worth any showcasing tho we did take the pics to rmb the diff betw the hor funs...haha... all in all the food was a disappointment...it was a mistake...haha 我知错了 LaoLao...shld hv gone to Haig Rd b4 we got too hot from walking...den maybe we cld get some decent gd food...haha... luckily the food at the Jeewa place was not ex n no gst also...hehe...maybe they noe they dun deserve gst...wahahah

Popeyes' Lunch during work (9th May 2007)

Hmmm went lunch with my 2 follow IA frens (in the same dept & team). hehe. Recently we got talk more online and we decided to have a lunch with just the 3 of us...haha...n since Edwin drives...we decide to "bully" him to drive us to somewhere nice to eat...initially we thought of PS so LaoLao can get his fone (at samsung service centre), then we cld go for some FAST food (food that's served fast) like LJS...but it got negative response fr Edwin who din wanna pass thru the ERP n from me who din really feel like hving LJS...then i just made a remark abt going to Popeyes' at the airport...n it was actually greeted with gd response...haha...so off we went!

we had a great ride there...in Edwin's cosy toyota corolla altis where the music's quite good...haha...realised that he likes to on quite loud music...to the extent that sometimes we got to raise our voice to chat in the car to beat the music vol...haha...but it's still nice...lol

LA LA LA...POPEYES' menu board...haha...it's quite new...think recently renovated...but i already seen this new look when i went to eat with Dear & Erjie...so no surprise...haha...but for LaoLao who hasnt been there since it was renovated & for Edwin who hasnt been there b4...it shld be sth refreshing...haha...

oh i forgot to mention i saw LION & his gf walking past Popeyes' too! haha...so qiao...Lion finally introed his gf to me...they look so sweet...haha...so nice to bump into nice frens when out! haha...

hehe...i went treetop walk again with frens! haha...this time w fellow ia frens the hyfluxians!...hmmm thx Alex, Xinyi n Zijia for bringing cam...n helping to take grp pics...n of coz sending them to us...Zijia also made a nice video using the pics which u can view on My Dear Cow!!

hmmmm i hve to say the trail is really really much shorter den that time i went w Yuan they all, which is already shorter den the time i went w Dear...haha...we started off fr Venus Drive den went straight in is Tree Top Walk le...haha den walked a few circles den come out liaoz...abt 2hrs plus? n also only abt 4km the most...haha...but then like wad Xinyi says, it's the company that matter...not the place...n certainly not the duration nor distance...haha...ok part of it is i infer fr her speech...haha...

after the treetop walk they all went for lunch at some HK cafe..the food looks not too bad on their blogs...but i had my fair share of nice n happie lunch w Dear at Junction 8! hehe...we had ToriQ yakitori bento...niceeee...n soya bean milk...haha...i think i hurt my left lower calf coz i ran after the bus...or dunno issit due to walk...oh no so easily injured meh...haha but surprisingly it is fine after 2 consecutive days of jog...think is coz i never exercise much...i muz jiayou! getting fatty...lol...

Far East Plaza Outing (12th Apr 2007)

I have been rather depressed at work recently. Probably due to the work, the people, the happenings or it's just me. Haha. Mon wanted to go jogging, but end up din go, tue went to cut hair, thinking maybe it's the hair that's irritating me, wed went tuition, nowadays tuition seems rather fuliflling n finally thurs came n i went gai gai with DD! He had promised me that we will have a great time on thurs...n we really did...coz we spend practically the entire weekend tog each week, so usually we dun meet on mons n tues...n wed he got class n i got tuition...so thurs which is usually the cg day, is the 1st work day we'll meet...but this thurs coz no cg so we can go out...coz i wanna buy a bag...so we both thot of far east...den even tho we set out to look for nice food for dinner...we ended up having our fave fastfood - LJS...it always cheers me up without fail...n we ate at Lido which somehow seems like a happier place...haha...coz we got a large rectangle table to ourselves... u noe the Lido tables? haha...

but the focus is not really the food...it's wad Dear did for me...he got me a present!?!? i was quite surprised coz it's really not sth i expect (erm duh, that's the idea of a surprise), but it's like out of the blue...but he did say it's our 19th mth anniversary present... but usually (i mean latelY) our montly anniversary also no presents wan leh... not that i expected one...but i usually expect sth for more special occasions...i mean it's 19...not like 20, or 24... that kinda lar...our 1 yr anniversary we also din got each other anything really special... as in a present kind lor... but this time he got me a present...n it really really very nicely wrapped one... (the wrapper is nice, n the wrappER did a great job)...

awwwww...it's a Guess wallet...*touched*...i rmb longing for a long wallet that not v thick, not v big, not too mature, n most imptly got a compartment to put my foto of Dear n me... n i said a wallet of similar design not bad... this fulfils everything! n it's a nicer n newer design...the latest design in fact...it may not be extremely ex & classy like LV that i always say to scare him...haha...but it's really really one of the nicest ard... n i really like it more than any others... thx DD!!!

oh n i realised that he bot the wallet fr Tangs on mon nite...when he told me hes going jogging... n to think i never suspect... it's one of the few times he really caught me by surprise...haha...coz i expose alot of his surprises b4 they can surprise me...lol!

n the gift is also to cheer me up...hmmm...so nice of u, Dear, but dun nd to always spend money to cheer me up k? BUT that also doesnt mean u dun have to do so at all...LOL... *evil laughter*

we went tampines ikea twice last wk for dinner...on fri n sat...we went quite late lar...so it's quite pleasant...cooling n not so many ppl...heehee...think this was taken on the way back on 33...to n fro from bedok to ikea got free shuttle bus...zhen fang bian!

Haha this day, Dear n i were in the mood for some baked rice! n we decided to bake it ourselves! heehee...it was a typical fri nite...end of work week...instead of choosing to go somewhere to walk walk den hv dinner...we thot of meeting at bedok den go supermarket buy some ingredients to make our own baked rice...hehe...was not a bad attempt...i find it quite nice...haha...tho we only had dinner at 9plus...it was worth it...hehe...the only regret was cooking too much rice n cldnt finish...but i refused to let Dear throw away...in the end i kept it for the nx day's lunch...haha...i think i'll make a good wifey...lol...*BHB mode*

Hehe this is an outing quite some time back...we wanna go Vivocity coz Dear won a pair of tix to Angela Zhang's showcase at St James Power Station Dragonfly...n also thot of going to the Hog's Breath Cafe there to watch Liverpool vs Man U... it ended up that we cldnt make it for the showcase (coz i was late) n we caught the match in the cold environment of the cafe only to see Liverpool lost 0-1 at the 90 sth min... nonetheless it was still a great outing that day coz it was spent with DD!

Hmmm...even tho all of us noe Valentine's Day is very very commercialized...i guess most of us still consider it to be a special day where u spend it with ur love one... yeapz... i had my share of celebration with Dear...

did a collage using fotoshop (with Alex's help...lotsa help! heehee :p) den went to print it to A2 size n wrapped it with wrapper n ribbon...hehe...Dear love it...i love it too! coz comprises of all our wonderful pics!

Dear with the collage poster...alrite the wrapping really is i did de...haha...it's nice coz the wrapper is nice...lol...but the person wrapping also got effort lar...haha...

oh n Dear also did a handmade collage for me...lol...it's obvious who made more effort...haha...butttt...the it's the thought that counts k...haha...wait till we had both framed den take a pic of them...

hehe DD never break his promise...he brought me to Ajitei for dinner! it's a subsidiary restaurant of Aijisen...hmmm where there's jap main courses, desserts n sweets...i like this kinda jap restaurants....v niceee...they r known affectionately as ASABU ASABO...hahaha...ermmmm coz the name sounds like the jap restaurant at marina sq....haha i always cant rmb or pronounce names correctly... so i give them my own versions...lol...

the main course...hmmm if u notice...the food r laid side by side...coz we sit side by side...haha...we always beside each other even if there's abundant of cushion seats facing each other...

the dessert...hmmm the jellys aint that nice...but the icecream n some small candies r not bad...sweet sweet...

A backdated post...well many backdated posts to come...coz my sis kept the pics n she's always too tired to transfer them to my thumbdrive...so...haha this day i barged into her room (when she was sleeping) n transferred these fotos fr her laptop to my thumbdrive...hehe...

i shall 1st start with our CG gathering fotos... this day my sis n i invited our CG frens over to our hse for a dinner gathering...it's the 3rd consecutive gathering i had at my hse... we had lotsa nice food...n played taboo n pictionary...maybe coz it's a really big grp n everyone was enthu...so the atmosphere was kinda high...haha...alot of shoutings n screamings n laughings....haha...a well spent nite...

we had 4 grps of 4 playing pictionary...n my grp comprising of Kaishian, Jacitha, Jenny n me won the game...here's a pic of the winning team!

as for taboo we played girls vs guys...n even tho the guys were leading at 1st...the girls eventually caught up n won...hehe

Last day at River Nile 1 (25th Jan 2007)

River Nile 1 is a room for IA students in Hyflux Level 3...i was there for 2.5wks...tog w 11 others...it's the Research n Technology department...1st wk we all got work...den 2nd wk onwards we suddenly got no more work...even my then supervisor ignored me...haha...apparently they had some stuffs that dun allow us to go to the lab...so well...we were all eventually n finally splitted up n transferred to other departments...only Alex is at level 3 now...one thing that my then supervisor did well enough to make me rmb her is at least she msged me that we were meeting our new supervisors the nx day...n that made me brought my camera to take some fotos at the room we spent so much time tog in...too bad i din manage to take a pic w my then supervisor...hopefully when im leaving the company she'll still be ard n we cld take a farewell pic...

Haha...the last day of 2006 was a meaningful day. Haha...i met some jc frens for a record of 6 times in a yr/mth. haha...as in go out lar. we went to macritchie treetop walk in the morning then went to Shitley's hse to stayover at nite.

It's the 2nd time i went n stayed over at SHitley's hse...hmmm the 1st was after physics a level ppr (last ppr)...den some of us stayed over then to watch Hong Dou Nu Zhi Lian...time passed so fast...so fast 3 yrs has gone by...n we hv all grown...haha...i hate to grow up...but if i never grew up i wont meet DD n if i still dun continue growing up i wont marry him! hahahaha...ok i wanna grow up =D

the nx day SHitley drove us to this new stand alone mac at AMK...where we had a hearty mac breakfast...hehe...a v v v meaningful last day of 2006...n 1st day of 2007...:)

Hehe...finally went Vivocity with Dear! haha...actually the nx very day i went there again with some jc frens...haha...the place is big...a lot of shops...a lot of ppl also...haha...Dear brought me to watch Death Note 2. haha we caught Death Note 1 juz 2 days b4 at Dear's hse...hehe...i love the show! a lot of twists...hehe i like Light, L n Misa! hehe...but i dun like the newscaster...haha...anyhow, that day was raining...so again nvr take any christmas lightings...nvm lar...dun think got chance le...in fact i have yet to go town to c the christmas lightings...nvm...maybe i'm able to catch the CNY lightings...haha...

hehehe finally met up with my jc class...haha...actually it's juz a gathering but since it's near christmas...it's considered a christmas gathering bah...Shitley n me had so many ideas abt it initially...say until wanna go someone's hse to stayover etc...haha...but in the end it was juz a dinner at suntec fish n co...n then we walked ard aimlessly ard citylink n marina sq...but it was still nice...actually i feel wad matters most is the catching up...n the people...the activity doesnt really matter so much for me...singapore is a small country...there's not many things we cld do for leisure...so i feel we shldnt keep complaining abt not hving enough fun things to do...juz be content n enjoy every moment spent with people who matters to u n whom u matter to...yeapz...

hehe was really taken aback when TKB told me HZ wanna go then wanna ask Dear along also...at 1st i was a bit afraid our classmates mite not like it...which i think most of them found it weird...but then i feel it wldnt be the same without them...i think i share the view of TKB that frens' frens can be frens as well...in this case partners can be frens' frens too...hehe...

that day, got 3 cameras...shitley's, huilin's n mine...haha...din take a lot of fotos lar...but then significant ones...i was really hoping i cld take more fotos with more ppl...but seeing them in person on that day was already an image in itself in my mind...

me & shitley...haha...the idea for this gathering sprung up one fine nite on msn when two of us r bored from mugging for exams...haha...n fish n co was highly favored among a few restaurants i suggested to shitley...lol...

hehehe...this hols i seem to be lurking ard marina sq area alot...haha...met TKB at marina sq last last wk...den today met him also go somewhere there (suntec n raffles city)...met Scrydon 1 ppl at marina sq...then last sat went marina sq again w DD...haha...this time was after our movie (Charlotte's Web) at PS...den we went MS to buy my mum's hp pouch...i got my fave azabu sabo (correct?) icecream too...green tea + red bean icecream...hehe...we took fotos on my fone (again, these days lazy to bring my baby T3...but will bring it for impt n special occasions, everyday ones will be baby n73...hehe)

saw this lady playing this gigantic harp at citylink while walkin towards MS...she played canon n d too...v nice music! hehe...

Hee...last fri met up with some old frens...my nj og (scrydon 1) frens...the 1st frens i made in jc...tho only the 4 of us...but it was great...Jon, Giam, Buttercup n me (Bubbles) haha...well PPG has fallen apart le ba...coz somehow cant really get Blossom to meet...n also Jon's no longer Gardenia...n of coz ZJ had long ago no longer Guni...haha...some of the childish stuffs we had in the past...will only be memories part of our growing stage bahz...the interesting thing is the 4 of us who met up r all attached le...hehe...so happie for all of them...esp Jon...this day we met up at Marina Sq...had lunch at Cartel (hehe i had mine at home coz thot we not hvin lunch tog)...then went kbox fr 4-8...haha actually is till 7 de...but they din chase us out till 8...n we went in late also mar...fixed timing is 2-7...haha...anyway that place is freaking cold...they din had a smaller room so gave us a super huge room w a big projector n a pool table...really look like some "la sab bar" like wad Buttercup terms...haha...

Hehe last sunday went JB with Dear, SP & Patrick. Haha...we met at amk mac. had breakfast den took train to kranji where we took a bus to jb. lol. we met at 9am. well it wasnt a gd idea to meet for breakfast 1st. 1stly, jb mac is cheaper. 2ndly, go in late to jb (beyond 10 considered late le ba for a holiday wkend), is a nono. the bus damn crowded. nd to wait quite long at the customs. but...all was well...still quite smooth la. once we reached, we took a cab to Jusco Tebrau City. Quite far leh. N it's quite big. the bakeries there v nice. got Le Bakery, Lavendar n Dunkin Donuts (where we bot 3 boxes of donuts for our families). got lotsa nice restaurants too. the supermarket (Jusco) is v big too. but then nth much to shop bahz. coz it's a regular shopping centre that dun sell v cheap stuffs...but i did managed to get some stuffs. hehe.

hehe...the 4 of us at lunch at Secret Recipe. the food there is really nice n cheap. the cakes r huge n delicious too. hehe.

the jammed jb when we were back sg...n we walked across the causeway! haha...while walking we enjoyed the sea...n of coz the flock of white birds which flew so low to the sea n they almost crashed into us!!! n we started shouting..."the birds r coming, the birds r coming!!!" haha...!!! we even sang silly songs all the way back coz no one was near us...hehehe...kodak moments of my life...:)

upon reaching sg...we rushed to my Dajie's hse to send dunkin donuts for them...n played w the boys...they r so cute...so happie to c them...hehe...

when we got back we were dead beat...legs almost wanna break le...haha...

Haha...it's the dunno-how-many times DD n me went for ROM/weddings tog le...hehe...this time round is his gd old buddy's Darren's ROM held at Raffles Town Club...quite a nice affair...but not really my dream kind...haha...it's a function room with some rows of chairs (over with white cloth) then a stage...where the solemonisation by the ROM person took place...then a few lunch tables (like banquet lydat) behind...with a buffet stuff lunch...the food is not too bad...

I finally had a bdae celebration on my actual bdae after so many years...the last time i had it has to be many yrs ago when i was still in my pri sch...haha...Hwee Zi (TKB's gf) asked me which means more to me...Valentine's Dy or Birthday...i answered without hesitation...birthday...maybe it was due to the fact my bdae is near or during exams...since young frens always promised me to celebrate for me after exams...or to give me presents after exams...but those never came...they were all simply empty promises...there were a no of times where i did have a nice n memorable bdae celebration...but of coz nth like this where the ppl who mattered the most came tog on this very special day of mine...as i had already hv my celebration w my immediate family...this celebration is with my close frens n my parents came for a while too...i had it at The Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore...My parents blessed me n Dear with a night stay at Marina View room...Dear did everything he cld to make everything so perfect...he got all the food...arranged the fruits we bot...he ran so many errands to ensure everything was fine...he even escorted my parents n frens when they left...no one ever loved me so much to love my family n frens as well...

hehe...he loves me so much to bring my duck n my bear to the hotel stay with us! we requested for a King sized bed...hehe...it's really v v high n comfortable...hehe...

21st Bdae Celebration with my family (8th Oct 2006)

Haha...today is my actual bdae...i'm finally 21! Haha...but this year a bit different...coz my Erjie is not ard...she's holidaying in Hongkong, Shenzhen n Macau...then my Dajie juz gave birth to my 1st niece Claire...so is still on confinement...then my Mum has to go over to stay n cook for her n look after baby Claire...so it really didn't matter that much to have an ultra big bdae celebration with relatives n frens...that's y i opted for 2 smaller bdae gatherings...one with my immediate family at my Dajie hse last sat nite...n one this evening with the frens i deem r closer n mean more to me...well there r of coz some other closer frens who wont be coming, coz it's not very easy to blend all of them tog...but it's not coz i never consider u guys b4 k...yest i went cg after sch then my fone was off le...low batt...then came back at 12plus...Dear brought me to go play arcade at east coast...well coz i failed my driving test...it was a really bad experience...but i have thus move on...so i dun wanna talk abt it anymore...but i will be retaking after my exams...hopefully i wld clear it then...yeapz to be able to drive is one of my greatest wish for my 21st bdae...maybe it wld only come to pass after i turn 21...haha...yeap so he brought me to play daytona (car games like daytona coz there dun hv)...tho the machines were really lousy...but i'm really v touched...also my cg celebrated for me as well...din expected it...yeapz i mention my fone was off till i was back...i was hoping it wld be flooded with bdae wishes once i on it...haha...but then my fone is 3G mar...(shall say more abt it later), somehow the msgs lag like crazy...haha...i only like saw a msg fr Shuping...n she say she hope she was the 1st...then i thot haiya, in fact she is the only one that rmbed n bothered...so was quite upset...then after a while got quite a no of other ppl msg...haha...tho i hope some frens bothered...i really shldnt be so disappointed...coz everyone has their stuffs to do also...besides the day hasnt ended...maybe i'll hv more wishes along the day...hahaha...quite a no of ppl who wished me were those i really din expected...so it's really a pleasant surprise...hehe...n my ex tuition student actually rmbed my bdae n msged me...she even say she will treat me after i joked n ask her for present...haha...oh ya n back to the fone...Dear bot me a new fone for my bdae...it's an entire package...he bot me nokia n73, n a hp pouch n he's gonna get me a 1gb memory card too...on top of that he got me many sweet n small nice gifts...one of them is this Tofu figurine...well i like Tofu cartoon but no one seems to noe...haha...n wad's more...it's the UK one...n i love the UK...haha...yeapz i love it...i love everything he did, does n will do...i love him lots...hehe... oh no say so much hven post any pics...haha...

Heehee every year 17th of sept will be a special day. It will mark a new year of courtship with Dear n my eldest nephew's bdae. Hee.

This day started very well, went to east coast kiliney kopitiam for breakfast, then went to church... after church went to Dajie's hse to celebrate Gavin's bdae. Hee. we had so much food until we were so bloated. Haha. somemore his cake was a super thick coffeebean oreo cheesecake. haha.

my nephews love cakes! their bdae each got 3 cakes lor...in sch, with their dad's side n our side. Haha. they love to blow the candles too! muz blow for every cake even if it's not their cake. lol.

after leaving Dajie's hse, Dear n me went to shop ard at Bugis...walk till my legs damn suan...coz wanna xiao hua...haha...then we went to Hog's Breath Cafe at Chimjes!!! hee to catch Liverpool vs Chelsea...tho liverpool lost...but nvm! they will win again soon!

Last sat was Shermaine's 21st bdae party. It was held at her appartment. Her mum ordered a buffet to be laid at the open common area. Being back to her place, brought back many sec sch days memories. Days where my sec sch was still at Lowland Road...i got a straight bus fr my old hse to her hse...so stms i'll go her hse then go sch tog fr there...coz lower sec was aft session ma...den while walking to sch we will pass by a playgrd where we go n sit the swing...stms aft Guides also will go her place...n of coz her place is rather near to Michelle Ma'am's old hse too...still rmb the days we go Michelle's hse to chat...i miss those days...n of coz the days where we all hv silly crushes on our seniors...haha...i'll always rmb Shermaine as a v happie n loyal n cheerful fren...

Last CG meeting...the impact was actually felt only after our last service tog...coz there's no more S30...no more sitting tog at 4 o'clock floor area in church...no more debriefing at crane area...i actually kept the last 2 msgs from Kelvyn (my team leader in S30) regarding the location we r sitting n the gathering at Gladys' place after service...it's a pity we cldnt go...it's really not we dun wan to go...coz need to go for Gareth's bdae lunch...the very last gathering as S30...actually we can gather nx time also...but it'll never be the same...everyone will be busy with their new cg...actually i feel that this is one of the best CG i've been too...as in the people somehow made me live up to a higher level...yest nite Gladys msned me n i realised she too also seem rather sad abt it...i thot she is always so cool...i guess we really need to move on...i'll really miss S30...

TaDa! the drink...coffee w foam n choc powder on top...see Teddy so skillful make this, hehe...he say muz use the knife to prevent the milk foam from coming out then later reach the top then let the foam out...unlike starbucks where they pour everything (including the foam) then scoop the foam out later...the foam shld be on the top lor...Jie drank most of it coz im not a coffee person..n she loves the choc powder...heee...nx time we go there again K? nice place...we sat there for a while...then opp is that CD shop...got nice music...nice nice...hee...

Yest was TKB's 21st bdae! Haha. He invited some of his sec sch frens n Dear n me to One Fullerton Black Angus Steakhouse for dinner. Hehe. Dear n me were the early birds! Haha. Since TKB made reservation under his name, we juz went in to sit down 1st. We had so much time, that we studied the place, the menu, decided wad to order n even had time for some foto taking. Lol.

we waited a while more then Bdae boy n frens came...hehe...finally see his gf Hwee Zi...haha actually saw a lot of her on pics, n met her once when we went for her CO concert yrs ago, but never really meet up for a meal like this. Saw Christina n Martin, this couple i seen b4 also during the CO concert. N there's Tricia, this quiet n pleasant looking girl, whom i met her during TKB's Commissioning Parade then. She still rmbs i had rebonded hair then, n commented my hair looks v different now. Hee. Actually my hair now is like JC days but longer only. Yeapz. There's this other guy fren of TKB, Kee Zhong, heard of him b4, but never seen him b4. They joked that he looks like Christina n calls him her bro. lol.

we finally took our orders, n most of us ordered steak since it's a steakhouse. While waiting we chatted. It's nice to chat with Hwee Zi. Dear n i both agreed that she is both a gd speaker n listener. I rmb TKB told me b4 he likes girls who can speak well. N i feel she not only speaks well, noes a lot to engage in chats but she's also v confident n pleasant. Yeapz. hehe. TKB, we hv a v gd impression of ur DIDI!!! Lol. We chatted so much that we din realised how long we hv waited for our food. Until Tricia says she nds to leave by a certain time, then we realised the table behind us, they came later n were served their food earlier den us. We did hv our entrees but then it's really a long wait for the main course. After voicing out our concerns to the waiter, the food came rather quickly n Dear joked that they forgot to bring them out. Lol. The food was nice. Most of us had medium rare steak. Then there's the drinks we ordered too. Many of us ordered Texas Tea, which was ice tea with some alcoholic content. Not too bad. But Dear's face became quite red. He says he does turn red not becoz he's drunk (how cld he? it's juz a cocktail kinda drink!) but coz of the circulation. Hee, he felt quite hot too. lol. Think some ppl's bodies r like that. After our meals, Tricia has to leave early. Then we shifted to another table (that's semi-circle kinda seating) to cut n blow the cake for TKB. Hwee Zi bot a Breadtalk Green Tea cake. It was nice! In betw the green tea flakes were red bean with cream, but the cream is not those kinda fattening kinda fresh cream leh. It's quite mild i think. But i dun really like cream so i din take too much of it.

After cutting cake, we chatted a bit then we left the place. It's quite a nice place to dine. The food is not bad, the staffs r frenly n nice, the music is quite relaxing. Other then the waiting for the main dish which was rather long, i quite like this place. :)

Dear n I parted with the rest after leaving the restaurant coz it was rather late n Dear has to work the nx day. Think they mite be going some other location maybe bars? hehe, hope they had fun.

As for Dear n me, we went to Fullerton Hotel for a while, coz 1 yr ago we went there to chill out as frens. haha. But that was after church anniversary. We went to the same travellator, where we tried to take pics. N i thot it turned out quite well. hee.

hehe. this is an outdated post. Haha. The day of our bangkok trip, Erjie was on leave n decided to cook dinner then 4 of us (her, KS, Dear n me) have dinner le den she send us to airport for our bkk trip. Dear n Erjie did most of the cooking. I only helped in the making of garlic bread, which some of them got burnt in the toaster. Oops. Haha. Anyway, it was pasta with tomato sauce, got mushroom, sausage inside (v nice!), got cream of chicken soup which Erjie added some kinda herbs n it's super tasty n thick! then the garlic bread also not too bad. hehe. Nice feast b4 our trip!

Church 17th Anniversary & Lunch@Changing Appetites

Today is church's 17th anniversary! we had 1 service at Singapore Indoor Stadium. It was so packed. Dear n i went breakfast at kallang mac w my parents then went down, reached abt 945 n the queue was already so freaking long! haha. we queued at the southeast entrance. Fortunately the queue moved quite fast. Went in n rushed to the north section to meet the CG. Really thk the early birds for booking seats for us. n the seats were v gd! bottom slope section facing the stage. much much better than the seats we got last yr when i invited Zhuzhu n Shuping. We sat behind the stage lor. Practically sitting laterally inverted images. Lol.

Changing Appetites! at Marina Sq...this place so AI GUO (patriotic). lol. had lunch there w the CG aft svc. it's like nydc. but got curry. lol. it says it's jap western fusion. but i dun c any jap food leh.

Golden Mile & Baghdad Street (3rd Aug 2006)

Hehe Dear brought me to Golden Mile "Little Thailand" for dinner. We had thai food! Haha. Seems as if we r back to Bangkok! Anyway we went Golden Mile with the intention to check out coach n tour packages to KL. But coz we wanna go in Oct, the price listings arent out yet. So we end up juz getting the agencies name cards. But we enjoyed ourselves walking ard, seeing loser Ang Mohs (Old n fat, but loaded) picking up thai girls, went to the thai supermarket, seeing all the usual thai snacks n hearing thai music. Haha.

we had clear tom yam soup (non-spicy but still has the usual tom yam taste), minced prawn stuffed in chicken wing on hotplate, brocoli with scallops n mushrooms n ice milk tea, the tea is nice! it has some vanilla taste in it too.

We saw a shop near the end of the street. this shop sells retro toys. then we wanted to buy this stick game. when we went in to pay i realised it was the shop Zhuzhu n Wansean went. We took a few pics on our own. N when the shopkeeper saw us taking pics rite, he actually came to take fotos for us. N show us ard n how to take gd pics. haha.

This shop is called Grandfather's Collections. It opens daily from 10am to 10pm. Dealers in old fashion antiquities, curios, memorabilia, paraphernalia & collectibles. hehe. if u wanna get rid of ur old stuffs they may buy fr u too. hehe. it's situated near the main entrance to Sultan Mosque. Do visit if u free!

we left the place feeling so yi yi bu she. hehe. after which we went to walk ard n took a bus back fr bugis. Nice nite out!

Yeah finally a meet-up with Zhuzhu. Well not very very long. I did see her on 2 other occasions this holidays. Haha. Once after she came back from HCMC, another when she wanna shop for Chris' bdae pressie. Yeapz. This time we met up at Cityhall mrt n went Raffles City Sushi Tei for lunch.

Our first dish, Sashimi Salad. A bit peppery, sour n raw. But quite nice. A gd cold dish to start of.

We talked for a while b4 ordering more. I showed her my BKK trip pics (hard copy) n gave her the top i bot. Juz felt it was quite her lar. Fortunately she likes it. heh.
