E5 Comp Lab

Haha, what's so nice about comp labs right? Haha, they are just labs with comps. DOTS. Hahahaha. But this comp lab is one that I got to know about it only in year 3 sem 1 when my Lab 2 group mates had a meeting there towards the end of the sem for our final lab presentation. I always knew there's this comp lab there in level 3 of E5 (Chen Eng block) but I never thought I would access there. And I also didn't expect so many people to frequent there. Of coz, I would never expect myself to frequent there now. These days I visit this lab and the comp centre Thinklab almost everyday just to pass time and try to do some productive work. The lure of this E5 lab is that it's near our tutorial rooms and is after all our department lab. Moreover, there's Hysys there. The horrendous yet useful Chemical Process Simulation Software. E2 also have lar but a bit too far to go. The disadvantages of this lab is that you can't wait webcasts there, can't print notes and there isn't accessible plugs to charge your handphone or laptop or mp3 player. Haha.

Today, Shuping brought her laptop to do her Membrane project and decided to take pics on her new comp camera back facing the comps at the E5 comp lab. Hehe.

Haha, everyday go school so early with my dad, I simply just can't make my hair listen to me man. It's just so PONG and messy. But who cares man. I go school for the sake of lessons and FYP and projects now. Not to go beauty pageant. So it doesn't matter. Haha. Moreover, FYP still have to wear pants n covered shoes. So why bother putting so much efforts on normal days to go around the rules to dress up and look good? Lol. Maybe I just can't be bother. Hehe anyway, SP's long and flowy hair is an envy man. Haha. But I don't think I suit such long hair, though I'm really looking forward to grow my hair longer!

Can't wait for this sem to end. I just hope to do well enough for my modules and get some decent results for my FYP. Looking forward to 1st Jan 2008 (day after deadline for FYP report). It would be my next happiest day after a whole load of happy days. Heh.

Lunch @ Ajitei

Oh my TIAN! I can't believe I'm blogging about my lunch gathering with my Singpost temp frens after eons now. Haha. I believe this gathering was on the saturday of the first week of school. We actually managed to get full attendance (tho it's only the 5 of us. LOL) We met at PS and had a great lunch at Ajitei.

We had a great chat that day and though it was short, it was really enjoyable. Glad that everyone made the effort to turn up. Dr Po Wey actually brought her medicine textbook to go Millenia Walk to mug after that. Apparently, medicine students have lots of memorizing of textbooks to do. Hehe. All the best to her! Hopefully next time we can really get discount for her medical services. LOL.

Oh and Boss Adin ordered an additional cup of cappuccino and the cup has a super unique handle. I actually took 2 shots from 2 different angles. Unfortunately 1 was blur. But you guys can still the see the shape.

Lunch @ Ricetable

A couple of saturdays back, on the 4th of August (coincidentally was the day Yuan passed her driving test 3years ago ;P), a few of us met up for lunch before Yuan leaves for Exchange to Finland (can just consider it as Europe since she's most probably gonna travel extensively). We had Indonesian Buffet Lunch at Ricetable at International Building. The food was pretty good. And we had quite a nice time chatting and laughing also. :)

Jingjing's Convocation

My dear Nai Jie, Jingjing graduated already! Haha. She invited us to her convocation. Tho not the ceremony lar. Just to take pics w her in the graudation robe. Wow, so nice for some of us to travel half the island to take pics w her at NTU right? Hahah. I met Hongmay at clementi and shared cab there. Met Zhuzhu there and took some pics with Jingjing while waiting for Shitley to reach. The pics taken with Hongmay inside were using her cam. Unfortunately, it's not easy to catch Hongmay online so I couldnt get the pics from her. Haha. But after Shitley came, we started taking pics on my camera. So could post it here.

End of Singpost Temp-ing

Omg, I got so many backdated posts! Haha, most people think this blog is extinct already. No it's just dormant. Haha. I did some temp-ing at Singpost after slacking a week or 2 after IA. N I met some nice people there. Hehe. There were 5 of us. But 2 left earlier on our supposedly last day (the same 2 extended their stay there). So I only managed to snapped some shots of the other 2. The 3 of us enjoy slacking at Barang Barang. Hahaha.

Iceskating with Yuan & Frens

After IA, life was quite relaxing. Haha, but I did managed to meet up with TKB & Yuan. Met TKB b4 he left for China to tour with HZ. Then met Yuan a couple of days for some conference job for her WAT agency. Got one of the days we went to watch Nancy Drew n another day we went iceskating. haha. Baobao really wanna go iceskating, but I was quite half-hearted, coz I dunno how to. It was quite fun, went w her n her smu frens. One of them drove us all the way to JEC.

I rmb going JEC once in JC with Baobao n someone else. That was like the 1st time I went. Haha hardly go west shopping centres, maybe other den JP n IMM. I enjoyed hearing more abt her experiences when she was young. It's nice to have frens staying in different parts of the country, n hearing their childhood experiences at the places they hang out. Too bad, I never had the chance to show others abt the place I spent the bulk of my younger days. Haha. Doubt ppl wld be interested also. Lol.

It was the end of IA for the ntu peeps followed by nus peeps 3 weeks later. this 6mths at H had been at times enriching at times frustrating. of coz not forgetting many many memorable times with the big grp n the smaller grps amongst us. i've made some nice frens along the way as well. so at least all had ended quite well at the v end.

Super Dog @ Vivocity!

Haha juz yest, my 2 crappy fellow IA teammates (under the same sup) went to Vivocity for lunch! We planned to give a treat to our sup at Vivo wan...but he went on mc due to bad food taken the day b4...so off we went for our Vivo lunch on our own...

we went to eat Super Dog! Laolao suggested wan...(of coz we din think of treating our sup to that! but since no more treat we shall hv sth else..heh)
whenever we sit Dr E's car sure v high wan..haha..there'll be some loud music n our great laughters...haha..n Laolao will be cautiously telling Dr E where to go n urging him to drive fast...hehe...while Cuecue & me juz sit behind n relax, look out enjoy the scenery...haha...sometimes drifting away while they hv their "interesting conversations..." *teeeheeee*

Lunch at Jeewa

haha...hmmm ok the following few posts will be abt my IA lunches...haha...coz working hrs so long...we nd some happie lunches to make our day! haha...

LaoLao suggested go Ali Cafe (opp Joo Chiat Complex) to eat...den we got some gd response from Xinyi, Felix n Yulin...haha...but then we went all the way there (by bus), it was closed...*sobs*

we were all quite sian diao...den LaoLao did say Plan B was to go Haig Rd Market...haha..but i (ok i admit), i suggested Joo Chiat (out of fun)...den Xinyi say dun mind...the rest also no objection..den we walk on n we walk on...n we walk even more on...haha...but really too far...n v hot alr...(aftn sun was terrible) so we walk back...LoL

Felix was alr sooooo hot (dark colored long sleeve shirt was alr soaking w perspiration)...so he juz suggested we go to that aircon malay looking cafe opp the Ali Cafe...haha..imagine we all so hot...we juz agreed...n it was a disaster...

the aircon was gd...but the service was terrible...it claimed to be a thai-chinese restaurant...(correct me if i din rmb correctly)...but the entire place is served by malays n patronised by mainly malays...not that im racist...but somehow we felt they seemed to serve the malays their food faster den for us...we alr had some difficulty ordering...coz the waiter cldnt tell us the diff betw certain menu items...for instance...there were different types of hor fun...but when we asked him wads the diff...he juz replied..."all the same la...juz name different..." argh...den why bother to put it as different orders in the 1st place??? so out of curiosity, Xinyi, Yulin n me ordered 3 different hor funs, hoping to spot any difference when they come...

we waited so long for the orders lor...LaoLao ordered his trusted Fish & Chips while Felix ordered TomYam...which neither looked gd nor tasted gd...juz made him even hotter i think...haha... (amusing to see him kept wiping his perspiration off his forehead n say v hot, haha)

hmmmm the food aint worth any showcasing tho we did take the pics to rmb the diff betw the hor funs...haha... all in all the food was a disappointment...it was a mistake...haha 我知错了 LaoLao...shld hv gone to Haig Rd b4 we got too hot from walking...den maybe we cld get some decent gd food...haha... luckily the food at the Jeewa place was not ex n no gst also...hehe...maybe they noe they dun deserve gst...wahahah

Popeyes' Lunch during work (9th May 2007)

Hmmm went lunch with my 2 follow IA frens (in the same dept & team). hehe. Recently we got talk more online and we decided to have a lunch with just the 3 of us...haha...n since Edwin drives...we decide to "bully" him to drive us to somewhere nice to eat...initially we thought of PS so LaoLao can get his fone (at samsung service centre), then we cld go for some FAST food (food that's served fast) like LJS...but it got negative response fr Edwin who din wanna pass thru the ERP n from me who din really feel like hving LJS...then i just made a remark abt going to Popeyes' at the airport...n it was actually greeted with gd response...haha...so off we went!

we had a great ride there...in Edwin's cosy toyota corolla altis where the music's quite good...haha...realised that he likes to on quite loud music...to the extent that sometimes we got to raise our voice to chat in the car to beat the music vol...haha...but it's still nice...lol

oh i forgot to mention i saw LION & his gf walking past Popeyes' too! haha...so qiao...Lion finally introed his gf to me...they look so sweet...haha...so nice to bump into nice frens when out! haha...

oh again i forgot...i think we saw D.a.w.n Y.a.n.g at airport leh...if u noe whos she...haha...but maybe not her also lar...lookalike...haha...but still it's DY lookalike leh!!! hahaha....

hehe...i went treetop walk again with frens! haha...this time w fellow ia frens the hyfluxians!...hmmm thx Alex, Xinyi n Zijia for bringing cam...n helping to take grp pics...n of coz sending them to us...Zijia also made a nice video using the pics which u can view on My Dear Cow!!

hmmmm i hve to say the trail is really really much shorter den that time i went w Yuan they all, which is already shorter den the time i went w Dear...haha...we started off fr Venus Drive den went straight in is Tree Top Walk le...haha den walked a few circles den come out liaoz...abt 2hrs plus? n also only abt 4km the most...haha...but then like wad Xinyi says, it's the company that matter...not the place...n certainly not the duration nor distance...haha...ok part of it is i infer fr her speech...haha...

after the treetop walk they all went for lunch at some HK cafe..the food looks not too bad on their blogs...but i had my fair share of nice n happie lunch w Dear at Junction 8! hehe...we had ToriQ yakitori bento...niceeee...n soya bean milk...haha...i think i hurt my left lower calf coz i ran after the bus...or dunno issit due to walk...oh no so easily injured meh...haha but surprisingly it is fine after 2 consecutive days of jog...think is coz i never exercise much...i muz jiayou! getting fatty...lol...
